CIS Atlanta
Communities In Schools (CIS) Atlanta
LEONTE ARCHER, Site Coordinator
Hello WCE! This is my first year in Clayton County and I am thrilled to join your team as your Site Coordinator with Communities In Schools (CIS) Atlanta. CIS started as a dropout prevention initiative back in the 1970s right here in Atlanta! While we still strongly encourage college and career readiness, we now focus more on providing wraparound services to our students and their families. We connect our families with community resources and partnerships to help them achieve optimal success. I am here each day to assist students with staying on track with attendance, behavior, and course performance.
I am originally from Richmond, VA and have lived in Atlanta for almost 5 years now. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the illustrious Hampton University in Hampton, VA. I have my own event planning business and a passion for creating something beautiful out of nothing. I enjoy working with children in the field of education the most. As a humanitarian at heart, it is the most rewarding to know that I’m contributing to the young minds of the future. Please don’t hesitate to let me know how I can support you!
