Teacher of the Year

The West Clayton Elementary 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year is Ms. Janae Hightower.  We are proud she represents us this school year. Congratulations!

Ms. Hightower is the visual art teacher at West Clayton Elementary School, where she also serves as the Fine Arts Lead, Magnet Ambassador, Brand Ambassador, and College Park Skyhawks Partnership Liaison. A proud Georgia native, Ms. Hightower received her entire K-12 education in Henry County before earning her bachelor's degree from the University of West Georgia. With seven years of teaching experience, she is passionate about introducing students and staff to art's endless possibilities.

Outside the classroom, Ms. Hightower enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include watching movies, attending concerts, and creating art. She has a special love for black cats, art, and white chocolate.
