Awards and Recognitions

READING BOWL Students participated in the county wide competition to evaluate reading comprehension.
PANTHER FACT PACK Students are given an opportunity to demonstrate multiplication facts, and students are given prizes and acknowledgements when reciting all of their facts.  Almost 100 students successfully recited their multiplication facts during the 2023-2024 school year.  We anticipate exceeding that number this year, as we are off to a strong start!
CHEERLEADING Student, Khloe, won this award for being determined, showing a good cheer voice and coordination, and a positive attitude.
SPELLING BEE Students participated in the county wide competition to demonstrate spelling knowledge.
BASKETBALL School level/ Team level awards were given in the way of trophies and certificates for their individual accomplishments.
FLAG FOOTBALL West Clayton was undefeated in the 2023 - 2024 season and earned a regional championship and represented the first ever playoff.  Although we didn’t win the county championship, we put the county on notice.
ART CLUB Our 5th grade student, Jalyiah G, earned second place in the county-wide Digital Art Competition.  Two other students received Honorable Mention.
